Churn Dash Sampler (26" x 26")
Use your churn dash stamps to make this adorable sampler of 13 different blocks (or use the enclosed templates). The embroidered border was made with the new Valdani "Handwork in the Smokies" collection. These 13 blocks will match up with the "Civil War Mini Sampler" blocks to add more blocks to your collection.

A limited amount of kits are available. They include all the fabric needed to make the entire quilt top as pictured here. The pattern comes with the kit.

Bears and Berries
From the 2008 "Handwork in the Smokies" seminar, this quilt will have you looking at the classic bear paw block from a different angle. Each quilt is enhanced with hand embroidery. The pattern contains the full size embroidery designs. Both use the sawtooth star set of stamps. If you like the strippy version, don't forget the 3" triangle add on stamp. The strippy version measures 36" x 42". The block version measures 34" x 34". I used the Valdani Vintage Hues Sampler for my embroidery on this quilt.

Mountain Blossoms (40" x 40")
Last year's seminar quilt was a smash success. It appeared in American Patchwork and Quilting in April and has been a "star" ever since. Using patchwork, hand embroidery and applique, make this heirloom quilt. You will love how the embroidery enhances the center design. Order the sunflower set of stamps or use the enclosed templates. You can also use the embroidery design in this quilt to set off the star in the Lone Star Blossoms quilt as well.

Lone Star Blossoms (51" x 51")
Lone star quilts are wonderful. Add embroidery and you have a stunner! The pieced outer border is optional. All the fabrics except for the border and background are from the wonderful fabric lines by Jo Morton for Andover Fabrics. I hand pieced this quilt using the "Carpenter's Star" diamond and the "Little Sunflower" set of stamps for the background blocks, but templates are included for those of you that love to machine piece.

Seeing Double
This pattern contains 2 quilts using the 8 pointed star set of stamps (Carpenter's Star Set) or use the enclosed templates. The "Double Stars" quilt finishes to 37" x 37". The "Tumbling Stars" finishes to 31" x 31". They are a scrap lover's dream that can use up bits of fabric you have been saving.

Nine Patch Civil War Sampler (37" x 37")
The long awaited sequel to the mini sampler is here! For those of you that wanted a larger block, this quilt boasts 5 3/4" blocks. Make the sampler with your civil war reproductions or any fabrics. I used the "Star Toss Set" of template stamps to make quilt, but templates are included.

Civil War Mini Sampler (27" x 27")
Looking for a quilt to showcase those wonderful reproduction fabrics? This pattern is it! Each block is only 4" and can be machine or hand pieced.
